We ran into some initial scheduling delays, but given it was over a holiday weekend, it was completely understandable. What really set them apart was their communication and attention to detail. Manny was on top of everything from start to finish—calling me promptly with regular updates and ensuring the project was completed right.
To top it off, the paint crew went above and beyond. Beyond painting the remediated area, they painted an adjacent wall and the full length of the baseboard as a courtesy just to ensure a seamless color match. Really appreciate the extra effort and I’m very happy with the end results thus far!
In short – RestoPros of Chicagoland West was more help than I knew I needed, and I'm grateful they were the ones who helped our family out, because the overall process was handled very well, with top notch communication, and quick, smooth, courteous, and professional service every step of the way.
Everyone from Manny, to Nicole, to Lydia, Alex, Saul, and Briana -was a pleasure to have been in touch with in one way or another, which made dealing with the flood situation we had that much less of a stress, and more of a relief.
Short story long –
I had a flood situation that occured in my basement mid-August, when many other homes in the area were also hit by the 3rd major storm, a derecho, in about 2 weeks (which also affected more significantly approx. 17k-20k homes/customers in Gary Indiana, who were left without electricity for approx. 2 weeks!) – and was able to reach out to RestoPros via referral from local business Jerry's Pump Service, & so I thankfully was able to quickly and easily connect by phone with Manny at RestoPros, and in no time, had the info. and assurances I needed to move forward with the mitigation work we needed taken care of (and sooner than initially expected actually). Manny was straightforward, understanding, & provided useful info. that helped me decide what to do, and frankly what not to do about the situation. He was very responsive, clear, and courteous, and took some weight off my shoulders at the time we spoke.
For the mitigation itself – Lydia came to meet me at my house in the morning to assess, take measurements/reading, etc., and helped clarify next steps regarding crew work to get the mitigation of further damage done promptly and smoothly, and eventually soon afterwards, the rest of the team including Lydia again, Alex, Saul, and Briana, etc. came to do their thing, and mitigate the heck out of the basement. Time went by fast, and before I knew it they were all finished, and everything seemed to have been taken care of quickly and well, including the eventual pickup of the equipment that was left for few days and final moisture readings.
Lastly, the other point person on a lot of this was Nicole (the Business Operations Manager) who helped to coordinate with me what I needed to provide for insurance claim purposes, & who helped provide me with further assistance when I needed it. She was very professional in how she handled my request(s) for information, and did well to get the info. needed for insurance handled promptly, and ultimately added a nice final touch of friendly follow up with me, ensuring everything went well and that I was satisfied with the service provided by the company – which I was and still am weeks later, which is partly why I'm compelled to write this review. We couldn’t have asked for a better crew to handle our flooded basement. Hector C. and Issac P. were absolutely fantastic from start to finish.
They were incredibly thorough with removing the damaged carpet, padding, and drywall, and they took the time to make sure everything that needed to come out was properly addressed. They were respectful of our home, kept the work area as clean and organized as possible, and explained what they were doing along the way.
What really stood out was their attitude and professionalism. They were friendly, hardworking, and genuinely seemed to care about doing the job right, not just getting in and getting out.
